China's Traffic Troubles

Traffic in China is really bad, it's one of the worst in the entire world. There are many reasons why the traffic in China is awful, but the most important and relevant ones are:

• China popullation is 1.351 billion people and 240 million people own a car. 

• China's roads are full of new drivers. 

• China’s driver education is not great. 

A car is considered a status symbol. If you own a car you are considered a "rich" person because you are too important to ride in public transportation. 

The government has also worked to improve long-distance travel, building new airports and rolling out a massive network of high speed trains designed to get people where they’re going faster and keep them off the highways.

There was a traffic jam that lasted 10 days in China. The cause of the traffic jam was reported to be a spike in traffic by heavy trucks heading to Beijing, along with National Highway 110's maintenance work that began five days later. Authorities tried to speed up traffic by allowing more trucks to enter Beijing, especially at night. They also asked trucking companies to suspend operations or take alternate routes. By late August 2010, the traffic jam largely dissipated, reportedly due to the efforts of authorities.

There are just too many people. Even with great driver education, wider roads, and fewer people buying cars, traffic jams would still be likely in a city like Beijing, which is host to more than twenty million people.

All these problems are related. When there is a lot of traffic, that means that there are a lot of cars and cars expulse carbon dioxide and that causes air pollution. As a consecuence, air pollution blocks the ozone layer and keeps heat waves in and causes Global Warming.

How would you describe the way humans treat animals? Should this change? Why or why not?

I think that the way a lot of people treat animals is awful.  Most people treat animals without respect or violating their right because of anger, ignorance, or a lack of compassion in their own lives.

There are a few people who treat animals with rights and respect like me and my family. There´s a big difference between humans and animals. Humans can express themselves and be heard so their rights are not violated. Animals on the otherhand have no way of communicating with humans and due to this, people believe that animals are stupid, ignorant and not important. But we forget that animals where here first and we should respect them and their natural habitats.

Yes, I do think this should change because how many animals have gone extinct because our lack of compassion or ignorance? Thousands. And this will continue to happen if we don't but a stop to this and to animal cruelty There are thousands of animals being tortured on circuses or wild and exotic animals being sold to ignorant people.

The Canadian commercial seal "hunt" is the largest mass slaughter of marine mammals in the world.

Canada intends to kill over 325,000 seals this spring.

According to the Canadian government, the hunt will not harm seal populations.

Isn't it illegal to kill baby seals now?


It is still legal to kill baby seals like this one, who is more than 11 days old and has begun to lose her white fur.

No. It's only illegal to kill baby seals under the age of 11 days old, when they are known as "whitecoats".


Do native people depend on the seal hunt to survive?

No.  The Canadian government allows for the slaughter of about 300,000 harp seals every March and April, most of whom are pups less than a few months old.

I am really upset because next Tuesday is the finale of How I Met Your Mother.

I'm expecting a lot of it. I really hope its not a big let down.
Every episode until now has been great. Robin and Barney are married , Marshall and  Lily have overcome their differences and fights.  Everything is fine now, except for Ted! He seems depressed because everyone is happy and he lost Robin forever.

They still haven't shown HOW he met his wife, but they have shown their first date and kiss which I find very awkward since we don't know how they got to that point.

Im expecting there to be a "future" scene where they show every grown up with their families.

I wasn't always a fan. I started to watch the show about 2 years ago and I loved it. I really enjoy the way they tell the story and how the series evolves with the characters. I watched an interview from the creators and writers and they tell how that Ted, Marshall and Lily are inspired on themselves. I found that great and super funny because you would never expect that.
Normally a Tv series os based on made up stuff  but not this one.

How I Met Your Mother

My first subtopic is about the on-going rumor about how the "mother" is dead in the future because every time that there is a scene where older Ted is talking to his children, the mother never shows up. Many people believe this because that would be the reason that Ted takes so long telling the story because he misses her and wants his children to know how he met her. Personally I don't believe this rumor because, why would the writers take so long to show how Ted meets his future wife and at the end, reveal that she is dead. It would break every fans heart. I would hate to see that the mother is dead at the end.

I really don't know how the final episode will be like because right now, they barely just met and it doesn't even show you how. The last episode that aired showed you their first date and kiss, but NEVER explained how that happened. I really hope that the writes don't screw up the end because every single fan out there is waiting for the perfect finale.

Post a piece of advice about success and/or fortune and to state why you think it is good advice. 

If you want to succeed in something you have to be very passionate about it because if you want to succeed in certain things you have to learn to give up other things and be okay with that. You should never give up and always keep you head in the game. If you start doughting yourself you are never going to succeed, you must be 100% sure about yourself and make other people believe in you so they can support you all the way.

I think this is a good piece of advice because many people have told me these exact words and they are very successful. For example, my uncle who is a surgeon, told me that I should never quit and learn to give up things in order to succeed. I find that very interesting because I told him "What if I don't want to give that up?" and he told me "If its blocking your way to success, give it up".
